LoJack® System Helps San Diego Police Department Recover Stolen Toyota Camry

The owner of a 2014 Toyota Camry contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.

The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Within 18 minutes, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a residential neighborhood located in the 9200 block of Sky Park Court in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in February 2014 at Toyota of Plano, Texas.
