The owner of a 2008 Audi Q7 contacted the Union Township Police Department to report that someone had stolen his vehicle from his driveway. The Audi was running to warm up when it was stolen.

The Union Twp. PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

A short while later, officers from the Irvington Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Audi to a park on Lyons Ave. the City of Irvington, where the vehicle was found parked. The Audi was recovered undamaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2008 Audi Q7 in April 2014 at DCH Millburn Audi in Maplewood, New Jersey.
