The owner of a 2010 Honda Accord contacted the San Diego Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen in the city of San Diego.
The San Diego PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

A short while later, officers from the San Diego PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to a residential neighborhood located in the 4900 block of South 67th street in San Diego.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in May 2005 at Klein Honda in Everett, Washington.
