The owners of a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche contacted the Pasadena Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential driveway during the overnight period.
The Pasadena PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet pickup.

A short while later officers from the Pasadena PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet, located it parked and abandoned on a public street. The Chevrolet only had minor damage and was returned to the grateful owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Avalanche in July 2003 at Davis Chevrolet in Houston, Texas.
