The owner of the Mitsubishi Mirage parked his car while he went into the grocery store to buy some groceries. Unfortunately he dropped his keys where he parked his Mitsubishi. Apparently some lucky individual found the keys, apparently clicked on the remote, observed the vehicle’s lights go on, proceeded to jump in and takeoff with the Mitsubishi. When he came out from the store he found his Mitsubishi missing, he immediately called the New York Police Department of the 115 Precinct; this was in the Elmhurst section of Queens, New York, confines of the 115 Precinct.

When the NYPD officers arrived, they took a written report for the stolen Mitsubishi Mirage. This information was then entered by the NYPD in the city, state, and federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Mitsubishi.

A short while later the silent signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer that the police have in their vehicles. This was in the Jackson Heights section of Queens, confines of the 115 Precinct. The signal was tracked to a residential section of Jackson Heights. The Mitsubishi was located parked on a residential street and the officers decided to stake it out. After a short while when no one came for the Mitsubishi the officers took it into custody. The Mitsubishi was recovered in good condition with no damage.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Mitsubishi was recovered so quickly especially in good condition with no damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the Mitsubishi it was equipped with the LoJack® System saying he was extremely grateful for that, saying that if it wasn’t for the LoJack the Mitsubishi may never would have been recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage in September 2015 at City Mitsubishi Saab in Queens, New York.
