The owner of the Toyota Sienna parked her vehicle where she normally parks by her building, when she got up in the morning she found it missing. This was in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn, confines of the 72 Precinct. She immediately called the police of that precinct.

When the New York Police Department officers from the 72 Precinct arrived they took a written report for the stolen Toyota. This information was then entered by NYPD in the City, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Toyota.

A short while later the silent signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer that the police have in their vehicles. This was in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn, confines of the 73 Precinct. The signal was tracked to a residential section of Brownsville. The Toyota was located parked on a residential street. The officers decided to stake it out. After a short while when no one came for the Toyota the officers took it into custody. The Toyota was recovered in good condition with no damage.

The owner was contacted and she was elated that her Toyota was recovered so quickly, especially in good condition, without any damage. She further stated that she was happy that when she purchased the Toyota, the vehicle was equipped with the LoJack® System. Further stating that if it wasn’t for LoJack the Toyota may not have been recovered at all.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Toyota Sienna in February 2010 at Russel Toyota in Baltimore, Maryland.
