The owner of a 2003 Ford F-350 pickup truck discovered their truck missing. They contacted the Davie Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen. The responding officer prepared a stolen vehicle report, theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime information computers.

Later that morning, while on routine patrol, a Miami Police Department officer picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen F-350 pickup truck on their on-board LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC). The officer began tracking the stolen F-350 by following the directional and audible cues on their PTC screen. The officer, along with their backup, located the F-350 near the intersection of N.W. 97th Street and N.W. 27th Avenue. The F350 was recovered, towed to the police impound yard for safekeeping, and removed from state and federal crime information computer systems.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2003 Ford F-350 in June 2003 at World Ford in Pembroke Pines, Florida.
