The owners of a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze contacted the Fort Bend Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residential private driveway sometime during the previous night. They parked in the driveway around 11:30 P M and when they awoke the Chevrolet was missing.
The Ft. Bend SD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

A short while later officers from the Houston Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to an apartment parking lot in Southwest Houston where the vehicle was parked and abandoned. The Ft. Bend SD was notified and the Chevrolet stored pending owner notification. The Chevrolet sustained only minor damage.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Cruze in December 2013 at Classic Chevrolet in Sugarland, Texas.
