When a Kitsap County resident realized his truck was stolen during the night, he called the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office to file a report.

The Kitsap County SO verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.

Less than one hour later, an Everett Police Department K9 officer equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC) picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Dodge truck. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the truck was located at 18th and Broadway. It was abandoned and did not appear to be damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Dakota in September 2009 by Doxon Toyota in Auburn, Washington.
