The owner of a 2015 John Deere utility vehicle contacted the Desoto Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner noticed that this John Deere was missing from his job site.
The Desoto PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the John Deere.

Later, officers from the Dallas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen John Deere with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen John Deere to a vacant house, where they found it hidden in the backyard underneath a tarp. The John Deere was recovered in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the John Deere utility vehicle in July 2015 via Commercial Sales.
