A commercial burglary of a used car dealership in the 14000 block of Lake City Way in Seattle occurred during the nighttime hours. The keys to a BMW 325i were found and the car was driven away.

When the crimes were discovered the next morning, they were immediately reported to the Seattle Police Department who verified the report and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.

That same afternoon, the Seattle PD officers, equipped with a LoJack Police Tracking Computer (PTC), picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the BMW was located at 4th and Virginia Street in downtown Seattle. It was abandoned and did not appear to be damaged.

The LoJack® System was installed in the BMW 325i in December 2006 by BMW of North Scottsdale in Arizona.
