LoJack® System Helps Pierce County Sheriff’s Department Recover a Stolen Dodge Challenger

The owner of this Dodge Challenger was away from his residence for several weeks.  When he returned he discovered the Dodge was stolen from the 200 block of 23rd Avenue SE in Puyallup.

The crime was reported to the Puyallup Police Department who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Dodge.
Less than thirty minutes later, a Pierce County Sheriff’s Department deputy received the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Challenger on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.   Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Dodge was located in the in the 200 block of East 68th Street.  The Dodge had a switched license plate belonging to a suspect who was contacted at the residence.  The investigation continues by detectives assigned to the case.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Dodge Challenger in November 2010 at Larson Dodge in Puyallup, Washington.
