The owner of a 2011 Ford F-150 contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 1000 block N. Gilmor Street in the Sandtown-Winchester area of Baltimore City, Maryland. The owner left the Ford unattended with the engine running and keys in the ignition.
The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford F-150.

A short while later officers in the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the 1100 block Harlem Avenue in Baltimore City, Maryland. At that location, officers observed the Ford abandoned and unoccupied. Officers recovered the stolen Ford and notified the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2011 Ford F-150 in February 2015 at Apple Ford in Columbia, Maryland.
