The owners of a 2007 Honda Accord contacted the Tempe Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen sometime overnight from the parking lot of the apartment complex.
The Tempe PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Thirty-five minutes later, troopers from the Arizona Highway Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the troopers tracked the Honda to a neighborhood west of the I-10 near Baseline Road in Tempe.
The troopers located the stolen Honda unoccupied on a side street in the neighborhood. The Tempe PD officers responded to the scene and processed the Honda for evidence. The Honda was recovered in good condition and returned to the owners at the scene.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in June 2015 at Tempe Honda in Arizona.
