The owners of a 2005 Ford F350 pickup contacted the San Antonio Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a corner convenience store when he went inside to make a purchase.
The San Antonio PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

Just thirty-seven (37) minutes later officers from the San Antonio PD, auto theft division, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to the 1200 block of Calaveras Street where the vehicle was parked and abandoned. Officers set up surveillance and after no activity called the owner to the location and released the pickup to them. The Ford was in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F350 pickup in October 2009 at CarMax #7227 Live Oak, San Antonio, Texas.
