The owner of a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu called the Albuquerque Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.
The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Within a short time after the activation, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the audible and directional cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to an apartment complex parked and unoccupied. The Chevrolet was recovered and will be returned to the owner.
