The owners of a Buick Lucerne were shocked to discover that their car had been stolen. They contacted the West Valley Police Department and reported the crime. A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Buick.

A short while later officers with the West Valley PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Buick with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Buick to the approximate area of 3300 South 1400 West. There they located the Buick and arrested two persons for auto theft.

The Buick was returned to the very grateful owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Buick Lucerne in June 2005 at Power Chrysler Jeep in Scottsdale, Arizona.
