The owner of the BMW M6 parked his car where he normally parks it.  When he went out for it the next day he found it missing and immediately called the police of the 63 precinct, Flatbush Brooklyn, New York.

When the New York Police Department officers arrived and took a written report for the stolen BMW M6.  This information was then entered by the NYPD in the City, State and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen BMW.

A short while later, and within minutes of the activation, in the state of New Jersey the silent LoJack signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer that the police have in their vehicles. This was in the Jersey City section of New Jersey, confines of the 2 Precinct. The signal was tracked to the business section Jersey City, Journal Square. The BMW was located in a parking lot and the officers decided to stake it out. After a short while when no one came for the BMW the officers took it into custody. The BMW was recovered in excellent condition.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his BMW was recovered so quickly, especially in good condition with no damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the BMW, the vehicle was equipped with the LoJack® System, saying he was extremely grateful for that, further saying that if it wasn’t for LoJack, the vehicle may never have been recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2007 BMW M6 in June 2010 at Hassel BMW Mini in Freeport, New York.
