The owners of a 2003 Audi AS8 contacted the Manchester Police Department, New Hampshire, to report that their vehicle was stolen.
The Manchester PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

A short while later officers from the Manchester PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Audi to a residential area where the vehicle was recovered. The Audi was recovered in just over an hour from the time the vehicle was entered into the computer system as stolen.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Audi AS8 in December 2002 at Burns Ford Inc. in Huntington, New York.
