The owner of the Honda Pilot parked his car where he normally parks it.  When he went out for it he found it missing; he immediately called the police of the 105 precinct Bellerose Queens.

When the New York Police Department officers arrived, they took a written report for the stolen Honda.  This information was entered by the NYPD in the City, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Honda.

A short while later, the silent signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer that the police have in their vehicles. This was in the Rosedale section of Queens, confines of the 105 precinct. The signal was tracked to a commercial section of Rosedale. The Honda was located in an impound yard where it was towed. Apparently the thief was involved in a minor accident and fled the scene on foot leaving the Honda behind. The Honda was recovered with minor damage and the investigation is continuing.

The owner was contacted and he was elated that his Honda was recovered so quickly, especially in good condition, even though it had minor damage. He further stated that he was happy that when he purchased the Honda, he purchased the LoJack® System, saying he was extremely grateful for that, saying that if it wasn’t for the LoJack the Honda may never would have been recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2012 Honda Pilot in May 2015 at Hillside Honda in Jamaica Queens, New York.
