The owner of the Honda Odyssey parked her car where she normally parks it by her house. However she apparently dropped her key to the Honda on the street. When she went out in the morning she found it missing, it was then that she realized that she lost her key. Apparently some miscreant found her key and made off with her Honda. This was on the lower East Side; confines of the 7 precinct and she immediately called the New York Police Department.

When the NYPD officers arrived, they took a written report for the stolen Honda. This information was entered by the NYPD in the City, State, and Federal crime computer which automatically activated the LoJack® System in the stolen Nissan.

A short while later, the silent signal was picked up on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer that the police have in their vehicles. This was in the East New York section of Brooklyn, confines of the 75 Precinct. The signal was tracked to a residential section of East New York. The Honda was parked on a residential street; the officers decided to stake it out for a while. However after a short while when no one showed up for the Honda, the officers from the 75 precinct took it into custody. The Honda was recovered with no damage.

The owner was contacted and she was elated that her Honda was recovered so quickly, especially in good condition. She further stated that she was happy that when she purchased the Honda it was equipped with the LoJack® System, saying she was extremely grateful for that, saying that if it wasn’t for the LoJack the Honda may never have been recovered.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2004 Honda Odyssey in January 2004 at Hillside Honda in Jamaica, New York.
