The owners of a Lincoln Navigator contacted the Fort Collins Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.

An officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Navigator.

Minutes later officers with the Colorado State University Police Department began picking up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lincoln with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Navigator to the 4500 block of Stover Street.  The Navigator had been abandoned by the thieves and was safely recovered for the prompt return to the very surprised and happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Lincoln Navigator in July 2008 at Longmont Ford in Colorado.
