The owners of a 2002 Porsche Boxster contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.   The owners were out of town for two days and when they returned the Porsche was missing.

The Phoenix PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Porsche.

Thirty minutes later officers from the Phoenix PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Porsche with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Porsche to a neighborhood southwest of 16th Street and Baseline Road.

The stolen Porsche was found unoccupied on a side street in the neighborhood.  The Porsche was recovered and processed for evidence.  There was no damage to the Porsche and it was returned to the owners in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Porsche Boxster in February 2002 at Tischer Auto Park Audi Porsche in Silver Spring, Maryland.
