The owners of a 2010 Mercedes Benz S-550 contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the 3300 block Greenmount Avenue in the Waverly area of Baltimore City, Maryland.
The Baltimore City PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Mercedes Benz S-550.

A short while later officers from the Baltimore City PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Mercedes Benz with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mercedes to the 400 block Merrymans Lane in Baltimore City. At that location, officers observed the Mercedes parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Mercedes was recovered by police and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2010 Mercedes Benz S-550 during April 2010 at ASC Mercedes Benz in Alexandria, Virginia.
