The owners of a 1997 Honda Accord contacted the Lawrence Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen.
The Lawrence PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Thirty-three (33) minutes later officers from the Haverhill Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Honda to the downtown area and recovered the vehicle.

This was the fifth (5th) time that this Honda has been stolen and recovered since the tracking system was installed in the vehicle.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in May 1997 at Honda Cars of Boston, Massachusetts.
