The owners of a 2005 Infiniti G35 contacted the Laguna Beach Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.
The Laguna Beach PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Infiniti.

A short while later the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Airship Duke 1 picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Infiniti with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, Airship 1 tracked the Infiniti to the area of 600 Avenida Victoria, San Clemente. Duke 1 requested the assistance of patrol deputies. The OCSD patrol deputies responded and found the stolen Infiniti traveling on S. Alameda Lane. The deputies conducted a felony stop without incident and contacted the driver. Upon questioning, the driver told the deputies “I saw the keys in the car and figured I’d take it.” The driver admitted he did not have permission to take the Infiniti nor did he know the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Infiniti G35 in January 2006 at AutoNation Infiniti in Tustin, California.
