The owners of a 2006 Ford F250 contacted the Houston Police Department to report he was inside his apartment when he heard his truck engine start up. He ran to the door and observed two male subjects driving out the gate from his apartment complex.
The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

A short while later officers from the Houston PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the signal to Brant Rock to a large apartment complex. Officers observed the Ford parked and abandoned. The driver’s door lock had been punched and the ignition had been tampered with. The pickup was printed and stored pending notification of the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2006 Ford F250 pickup in May 2007 at Texas Motors Ford in Fort Worth, Texas.
