The owner of a 2015 Toyota Camry contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner, while making a delivery, was approached by two suspects who pointed a handgun at him and demanded his money and car keys. The suspects then jumped into his Toyota and drove off.
The Dallas PD verified the armed robbery and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Toyota to an apartment complex in the 8400 block of Skillman Rd, where they found it abandoned in the parking lot. This Toyota was recovered in good condition. Officers are reviewing video from the apartment complex to see if they can identify the suspects.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Camry in August 2015 at Cowboy Toyota in Dallas, Texas.
