The owners of a 2007 Nissan Versa contacted the Phoenix Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen with the keys, after leaving the vehicle running at their place of business.
The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Short while later, officers in the Phoenix PD helicopter picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the area of 51st Avenue and Indian School Road.
The helicopter crew located the Nissan and directed the marked patrol units to the parking lot of a clothing store where the stolen Nissan was found unoccupied. The Nissan was recovered and processed for evidence. The Nissan was later returned to the owner in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Versa in October 2006 at ABC Nissan in Phoenix, Arizona.
