The owners of a 2014 BMW contacted the Henry County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from the driveway.
The Henry County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.

A short while later officers from the Henry County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the BMW to a vacant home where it was found abandoned.

The officer suspected that some juveniles took the BMW for a joy ride and ran out of gas. The BMW was recovered in excellent condition and returned to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the BMW in March 2014 at United BMW in Roswell, Georgia.
