The owner of a 2014 Honda Accord contacted the Dallas Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner had parked his Honda in front of his house. When he returned to it the next morning, he found it missing. The owner had left a spare key inside his center console.
The Dallas PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Later, officers from the Dallas PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Honda to the 10300 block of Wickersham Drive and found it abandoned in an apartment complex parking lot. This Honda was recovered in good condition. Officers are reviewing the apartment’s video of the parking lot to see if a suspect can be identified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Accord in February 2014 at Rusty Wallis Honda in Dallas, Texas.
