The owner of a 2015 Mercedes Benz SLK 350 contacted the Paterson Police Department to report that her vehicle had been stolen while she was at work in the City of Paterson. The owner also called the LoJack Call Center to inform the LoJack Corporation of the theft.

The Paterson PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the 2015 Mercedes Benz SLK 350.

A short while later, officers from the Irvington Police Department and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Mercedes Benz, with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Mercedes to Delmar Place in the City of Irvington, where the vehicle was recovered parked in the rear yard of an abandoned building.
