This Lexus was taken from a fitness facility in Lakewood. The owner locked his keys in a locker while he exercised and when he returned the lock was removed and the keys missing.

When the crime was discovered, it was reported to the Lakewood PD who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Lexus.

Just twelve minutes later, three Lakewood PD officers picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Lexus on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the Lexus was located in a large department store parking lot at the Lakewood Town Center. It was abandoned and did not appear to be damaged.

The owner was called to the scene to take possession of the Lexus.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Lexus IS250 in August 2009 at Lexus of Tacoma in Fife, Washington.
