The owners of a 2007 Ford F250 pickup contacted the San Antonio Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from a retail store parking lot while they were inside the store.
The San Antonio PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford pickup.

A few minutes later officers from the San Antonio PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford pickup with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Ford to Judson Road where it was parked and abandoned. The Ford was processed for prints and released to the owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford F250 in April 2007 at Westway Ford in Irving, Texas.
