The owners of an Audi TT sports car contacted the Colorado Springs Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.
A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Audi.

Minutes later officers from both the Colorado Springs PD and the Colorado State Patrol picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Audi with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, officers with the Colorado Springs PD tracked the Audi to the 400 block of Van Buren and recovered the abandoned Audi. It was secured for the prompt release to the owners. A suspect has been identified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Audi TT in 2010 at Vidmar Motor Company in Pueblo, Colorado.
