The owners of a 2006 Toyota Tundra contacted the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their residence in Queen Creek.
The Maricopa County SD Deputy verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Toyota.

Later, officers from the Mesa Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Toyota with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Toyota to a neighborhood near Broadway Road and Longmore, in Mesa.

The Toyota was located unoccupied and parked on a side street in the neighborhood. The stolen Toyota was recovered in good condition and processed for evidence. The owners responded to the recovery location and took possession of their Toyota.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Toyota Tundra in March 2007 at Universal Toyota in San Antonio, Texas.
