While the owner of this Chevrolet Blazer was hospitalized for nearly a month, his vehicle was stolen from his residence located on Sail Loft Road in Belfair.

When the theft was discovered, it was reported to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office who verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Blazer.

A deputy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Oregon, picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet on the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following directional and audible cues from the PTC, the car was located at NW Gordon Road & NW Commercial Street near Hillsboro. A suspect in the Chevrolet was placed under arrest and booked into jail.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Blazer in April 2001 at Chapman Chevrolet in Tempe, Arizona.
