The owner of a 2015 Range Rover contacted the New Jersey State Police, Perryville Station to report that their vehicle had been stolen over night from their driveway. The keys were in the Range Rover at the time of the theft.

The New Jersey State Police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Range Rover.

A short while later, detectives from the New Jersey State Police Auto Theft Unit picked up the silent LoJack signal coming from the stolen Range Rover with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their  patrol vehicles.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the detectives tracked the Range Rover to 15th Street in the City of Irvington, where the vehicle was located. Surveillance was established, and after a short time the Range Rover was recovered. Suspects have been identified and arrests are anticipated.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2015 Range Rover in January 2015 at Jaguar Land Rover Annapolis in Maryland.
