The owners of a 2008 Nissan Sentra contacted the New Orleans Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from in front of their residence overnight in the 7th Ward of the city. The owner stated that they had locked and secured the Nissan when it was parked.

The New Orleans PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from the New Orleans PD and troopers from the Louisiana State Police picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan and found it parked on the city street in the St. Roch area of the city.

The owner was contacted by the officers and advised them their Nissan Sentra had been recovered quickly in great shape via LoJack. The owners arrived and met the officers a short while later and were reunited with their Nissan.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Sentra in September 2007 at Ray Brandt Nissan in Harvey, Louisiana.
