The owner of a 2000 Honda Civic contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department to report his vehicle was stolen from apartment complex parking lot during the overnight hours.  The LVMPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Honda.

Just fifteen minutes after the activation officers from the LVMPD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Honda with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked and located the Honda unoccupied.  The Honda was recovered and will be released back to the owner.  This was the second time this Honda has been stolen and recovered by law enforcement using LoJack.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Honda Civic in April 2000 by Auto Nation Honda Hollywood in Florida.
