The owners of a 2005 Hyster Forklift contacted the Buena Park Police Department to report their vehicle was stolen.
The Buena Park PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Hyster.

A short while later officers from the Buena Park PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Hyster with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the abandoned forklift to the rear of a strip shopping center. The officers recovered the undamaged forklift and returned it to its owner.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Hyster Forklift in May 2010 via Commercial Sales in Anaheim, CA.
