The owner of a 2015 Ford Mustang contacted the Ft Worth Police Department to report that his vehicle was stolen. The owner parked his Ford in his driveway and when he returned the next morning, found it missing. He stated that he left a spare key in the glove box.
The Ft Worth PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Later, officers from the Dallas Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the stolen Ford to an apartment complex where they found it abandoned in the parking lot. It was recovered in good condition. Officers are reviewing video of the apartment parking lot to see if they can identify a suspect.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Mustang in December 2014 at Bob Tomes Ford in McKinney, Texas.
