The owners of a 2006 Nissan Titan contacted the Tracy Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. The victim stated the Nissan was stolen sometime during the night while parked in from of their residence.
The Tracy PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

Less than 15 minutes later, officers from the Delta RATT Auto Theft Task Force picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to the area of I-5 and March Lane, observed it parked and abandoned in a motel parking lot. The officers then set up surveillance in hopes of catching the thieves.
Sometime later, the thieves entered the Nissan and drove off. The task force officers followed the stolen Nissan into the city of Manteca. The suspect pulled into a residence and into the back yard. The officers followed and by the time the officers entered the rear yard, the suspects were already removing the tires from the Nissan. Officers arrested four suspects for auto theft and receiving stolen property.

The officers also recovered 4 stolen hand guns. One of the suspects had a felony federal warrant.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Nissan Titan in September 2006 at Mossy Nissan in El Cajon, CA.
