The owners of a 2004 Nissan Maxima contacted the Prince George’s County Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home in the 13000 block Kiama Court in the Laurel area of Prince George’s County, Maryland.
The Prince George’s County PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Nissan.

A short while later officers from the United States Park Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Nissan with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopters. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Nissan to Cherryhill Road inside Community Trail Park in the College Park area of Prince George’s County, Maryland. At that location, detectives observed the Nissan abandoned and unoccupied. The undamaged Nissan was recovered by officers and the owner notified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2004 Nissan Maxima in June 2004 at Len Stoler Nissan in Owings Mills, Maryland.
