The owners of a 2007 Ford Escape contacted the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office to report that their vehicle had been stolen.

A deputy verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Forty-one minutes later deputies picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.  Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked and recovered the Ford quickly.  It was returned to the very grateful owners.  The individual responsible for taking the Ford has been identified.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Escape four months ago at Spradley Chevrolet in Pueblo, Colorado.
