The owners of a BMW X5 contacted the Westminster Police Department when they discovered their home burglarized and their vehicle stolen.
A police officer verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the BMW.

A short while later officers with the Westminster PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen BMW with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the BMW to the 4000 block of West 105th Place where the abandoned SUV was recovered. It was processed for evidence and returned quickly to the very happy owners.

The LoJack® System was installed in the BMW X5 in September 2007 by Nally BMW in Decatur, Georgia.
