The owners of a 2008 Ford Edge contacted the Lakewood Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen.
An agent responded and verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Ford.

Minutes later officers from Denver, Lakewood and Wheat Ridge picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Ford with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft.

Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officer tracked the Ford to 14th Avenue and Ingalls Street where the vehicle was discovered abandoned by the thieves. The Ford was safely recovered and returned to the very happy owners in less than two hours.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Ford Edge in 2008 at GO Ford West in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
