The construction company foreman contacted the Houston Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen from their construction site sometime during the previous night.
The Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Melroe loader.

A short while later deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Melroe loader with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the deputies tracked the Melroe loader to a construction site at 16200 Hollister in North Harris County. Deputies secured the loader until the owner could be located.

The LoJack® System was installed in the 2014 Melroe in September 2014 via Commercial Sales.
