The owners of a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado contacted the Mesa Police Department to report that their vehicle had been stolen from the parking lot of a shopping mall near Southern Avenue and Alma School Road in Mesa.
The Mesa PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Fourteen minutes later, officers from the Mesa PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and aircraft. Following the directional and audible cues from the PTC, the officers tracked the Chevrolet to a business center/strip mall in the 1200 block of north County Club Road in Mesa.
The stolen Chevrolet pickup was located unoccupied in the parking lot and recovered by police. The Chevrolet was processed for evidence and released to the owner in good condition.

The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Colorado in August 2007 by Midway Chevrolet-Geo in Phoenix, Arizona.
