The owner of a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado contacted the Albuquerque Police Department to report the vehicle was stolen from his residence in the Southwest Area Command.  The Albuquerque PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Chevrolet.

Within fifteen minutes of the activation, officers with the Albuquerque Police Department picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in their marked and undercover vehicles.  Following the audible and directional cues from the PTC, the officers tracked and located the Chevrolet to a residential neighborhood parked and unoccupied in the Southwest Area Command.  Auto Theft Detectives set up surveillance on the Chevrolet.  The Chevrolet was recovered and released back to the owner at the scene.
